I was invited down to Lush in Fargate a few weeks back for a night of bathbomb making, skin consultations, sparkles and nibbles to celebrate the launch of the brand’s new range for Spring.
I’ve always been a little intrigued by Lush. I’ll be honest, the overpowering (albeit lovely) smell that precedes passing by any store usually has me and my eczema prone skin running in fear to the nearest Boots.
It wasn’t until the event however that I got to know the chain’s emphasis on using natural ingredients, as well as the ethical sourcing and manufacturing of their products.
My brain has been wired to associate strong smells with artificial colourings and chemicals- things that would inevitably dry my skin out. It was nice to know that this needn’t be the case.
We were really looked after by the girls who work there, who’s knowledge of the products is unrivaled to anything I’ve experienced before. I would like to extend my thanks to them for coming into work after hours to give us bloggers such a fantastic night! It really is appreciated by all.
I came away with some amazing smelling “The Comforter” shower gel which can double up as a shampoo. At £9.75 for 250ml it doesn’t come cheap, but I can tell it’s one of those that’ll need only one use to make my hair leave a sweet aroma in it’s wake.
So sensitive skin owners, be not afraid! Lush is still a place to go for you & me.
Until next time,
