About

Hello & welcome to my little corner of the internet!

Hannah Frances McCreesh started out life as the Sheffielder back in January 2014 during my second year of university, I wanted an excuse to get out of the house and explore, to fall in love with the city again, and to draw attention to all the great things it has to offer.

I blogged anonymously for almost two years and received incredible support from the community along the way. It proved that Sheffield really is the biggest village around, and a wonderful place to call my home.

Last year, I ditched the anonymity to inject a bit more personality into the blog. Six months after, went even further. I decided it was time for a name change.

As much as I adore the name The Sheffielder and Sheffield itself, I may not live here forever. I wanted to create a blog name with longevity, one that can be taken with me anywhere. What better place to start than with my very own name?

I work in full-time in marketing, so I run my blog on the side, as well as doing freelance writing and blogging work for a number of clients in my remaining free time.

So as it turns out, buying a 99p domain name has changed my life for the better. I can’t wait to see what the future holds – I truly love my little corner of the internet, and I hope you’ll love it too.
