Dear all,

Where do I begin? Well firstly, you may have noticed a change around here.

My little space on the internet has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 2014.

In the two and a half years since I started The Sheffielder, I’ve gone from blogging anonymously about our city, to introducing myself properly. Since then, I’ve injected a lot more of my personality into the blog.

This year alone, you’ve seen me push myself out of my comfort zone and train for The Great Manchester Run.

You’ve seen me work with 14-18 NOW who’s #WeAreHere campaign amassed thousands of pieces of news coverage and was seen by millions of people around the UK.

And next month, you’ll see me jet off to Paris for a 24 hour feature made possible by the Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield.

But like most things in life, as time has gone on things change and develop. My blog is no exception to that.

So after months of deliberation, I have decided to change the name of my beloved The Sheffielder to something which is timeless and has more longevity.

And in that case, what better to change it to than my full name?

Because as much as I adore Sheffield, I might not live here forever.

And as much as I want to be known for my love of the area, I also want to be known for my other loves: fashion, fitness travel, photography and more. I don’t want to just be known as just a “regional blogger” as such.

And on a less serious note, I’m also getting tired of having two Instagram and snapchat accounts 😉

Despite this however, I want to emphasize that nothing on the blog (except the name) is going to change.

The content will still be heavily based around my life here – events, reviews and more.

But as you as my readers have gotten to know me better, it made sense that I change the name to something I can carry with me through different cities, hobbies and other changes that are inevitably going to happen in my life.

I guess what I’m saying is, I want you to continue on this journey with me, in Sheffield and beyond.

(& always in my heart, The Sheffielder too) X
